Ingredients
1
packet
instant oatmeal (maple & brown sugar flavor)
2/3
cup
water or milk
use milk for creamier texture
2
tablespoons
candy-coated chocolate eggs
use sugar-free or natural if preferred
green food coloring (optional)
for a fun 'prehistoric' look
Instructions
Pour the oatmeal packet into a microwave-safe bowl. Add water or milk and stir.
Add a drop of green food coloring if using. Stir to combine.
Microwave on high for 1-2 minutes, or until cooked. Stir again and let cool slightly.
Top with candy-coated eggs. Watch them 'hatch' as they melt slightly into the oatmeal!
Notes
You can prep this the night before and just add the eggs in the morning. For a healthier version, use steel-cut oats and natural chocolate eggs.
